PM Modi’s Chennai Visit Prompts Robust Five-Tier Security Arrangement
In anticipation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Chennai on January 19 for the inauguration of the sixth Khelo India Youth Games, the Greater Chennai City Police is implementing a comprehensive five-tier security plan. Over 22,000 police personnel, including officers from various units such as Law and Order, Crime, Traffic, Special Units, Armed Reserve, Commando Force, and Tamil Nadu Special Police, will be deployed to ensure a secure environment.
The security measures cover key locations such as Periamet, Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Chennai Airport, Raj Bhavan, Guindy, and Adyar INS. Additionally, ‘Red Zones’ have been designated at critical spots, prohibiting the use of drones or other aerial objects during the Prime Minister’s visit.
