PM Modi Virtually Launches Redevelopment of Railway Stations
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the virtual foundation stone laying ceremony for the redevelopment of 13 railway stations in the Guntur Railway Division on February 26. With 11 stations in Andhra Pradesh and two in Telangana earmarked for redevelopment, the initiative aims to modernize railway infrastructure.
Additionally, the Prime Minister will dedicate 10 Road Under Bridges (RUBs), enhancing connectivity across the region. This development falls under the nationwide Amrit Station scheme, targeting the redevelopment of 554 railway stations to provide world-class facilities. Andhra Pradesh’s allocation of ₹9,138 crore in the interim Budget underscores the government’s commitment to upgrading transportation infrastructure.
