PM Modi Hails Supreme Court’s Verdict on Article 370 as Historic

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has lauded the Supreme Court’s verdict on the abrogation of Article 370 as “historic” and a resounding declaration of hope, progress, and unity for the people of Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh.

The PM assured the residents of the region that the government remains committed to fulfilling their dreams and is determined to ensure that the benefits of progress reach not only them but also the most vulnerable and marginalized sections of society who suffered due to Article 370.

The Supreme Court’s Constitution bench upheld the abrogation of Article 370 while announcing its judgment on petitions challenging the move and ordered the Election Commission to hold elections in Jammu and Kashmir by September 30, 2024.
