Describing Shivaji as a visionary leader, fearless warrior, and guardian of culture, PM Modi highlighted his enduring legacy of good governance. Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, along with Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar, honored Shivaji at the historic Shivneri Fort in Pune.
The leaders attended various commemorative events, including the traditional ‘cradle ceremony,’ symbolizing respect for Shivaji’s legacy. Born in 1630, Shivaji’s remarkable military prowess and administrative skills enabled him to establish a powerful empire by defeating the prevailing Muslim rulers, including the mighty Mughals.
