Passenger Escapes Near Mishap in MTC Bus
A woman passenger had a harrowing experience when the wooden flooring she was standing on broke in a moving MTC bus, nearly causing her to fall into a hole. Identified as Shanma, the 35-year-old resident of Mint, narrowly avoided a serious accident by grabbing onto handrails and folding her legs as the flooring gave way.
Other passengers intervened, prompting the driver to stop the bus, allowing Shanma to slide through the hole and exit from the bottom of the bus safely. Recounting her ordeal, Shanma described the incident as terrifying, emphasizing that she could have faced severe injuries or worse had she not reacted quickly.
Concerned passengers questioned the bus crew about the lack of safety checks before operating the bus, highlighting the need for proper maintenance and inspection protocols to prevent such incidents in the future.
