Pakistani Drug Smugglers Apprehended in Joint Operation by BSF and Punjab Police
Two Pakistani drug smugglers were captured by the BSF and Punjab Police in a joint operation, leading to the seizure of 29.26 kg of drugs after a brief exchange of fire in Ferozepur. The operation, conducted based on specific information during the night between Sunday and Monday, resulted in one of the smugglers sustaining a bullet injury.
The injured smuggler was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Troops observed the movement of Pakistani miscreants cum smugglers coming from Pakistan to the Indian side, and upon issuing a challenge, troops fired upon them due to an imminent threat.
Two Pakistani smugglers were apprehended along with 26 packets of suspected heroin. The operation is ongoing, and investigations are focused on establishing linkages within the drug trafficking network.
