Pakistan Court Grants Permission for Imran Khan’s Election Meetings
In Pakistan, the Islamabad High Court has granted permission for leaders and lawyers associated with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), including former Prime Minister Imran Khan, to hold election meetings in preparation for the upcoming February 8 polls. The court order, issued by Justice Miangul Hasan Aurangzeb, allows Imran Khan and other PTI members to strategize ahead of the elections.
The plea also sought instructions to ensure privacy for Imran Khan during consultations with his legal team. Pakistan has initiated election-related activities, with the deadline for filing nomination papers concluding on Sunday, and the examination of nomination papers set to take place from December 25 to December 30.
