Online Booking Introduced for Kudremukh and Netravati Peak Treks to Manage Crowds

Starting June 25, trekkers wishing to visit the Kudremukh and Netravati peaks in Karnataka’s Kudremukh National Park must book their trips online at www.kudremukhanationalpark.in. The new system, aimed at controlling congestion, permits only 300 trekkers per peak daily, with a cap of three people per booking.

Monthly bookings will open on the 25th of the preceding month, with special tatkal slots available on Thursdays for local villagers and last-minute bookings. This initiative follows overcrowding incidents, such as on Republic Day 2024 at Kumara Parvatha, to protect the park’s fragile ecosystem from excessive litter and human impact.
