Health Minister Ma. Subramanian has confirmed that the Tamil Nadu Government Multi Super Speciality Hospital (TNGMSSH) located at Omandurar Estate in Chennai will not be re-converted into the State Secretariat. Originally constructed as the Secretariat complex in 2010, the premises were transformed into a multi-super special hospital by former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa.
Subramanian emphasized the hospital’s improved services, including a robotic surgery center and an early pregnancy anomaly screening facility. He stated that the hospital’s healthcare facilities and services have been expanding, with a significant increase in the number of outpatients. The Minister assured that the hospital will continue to operate as a multi-super specialty facility and will not be reverted to its former Secretariat role.
