NTR Bharosa Pension Scheme: A Renewed Commitment to Social Welfare

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has initiated the distribution of social security pensions under the NTR Bharosa Pension Scheme, allocating ₹4,408 crore to support the welfare of the poor. The scheme represents a significant increase in the monthly pension bill to ₹33,100 crore, a marked contrast to the ₹35 per month introduced by the TDP Government in 1994-95.

Mr. Naidu emphasized the importance of this initiative in light of the alleged hardships caused by the previous YSR Congress Party administration. He also highlighted his commitment to addressing the state’s financial challenges and restoring investor confidence while ensuring that pension distribution remains a priority.
