A North Korean delegation attended an Iranian expo in Tehran, engaging in discussions about bilateral trade with Iranian government officials and the private sector. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Nasser Kanaani confirmed the meeting, denying claims of cooperation between North Korea and Iran on ballistic missile programs.
Some media outlets had speculated about such cooperation, but Kanaani dismissed these claims as biased and baseless. Last week, a North Korean delegation, led by the cabinet minister for international trade, made a rare visit to Iran. The visit coincided with Tehran hosting the sixth Export Potential Exhibition of the Islamic Republic of Iran from April 27 to May 1.
