North Korea launched second missile towards eastern sea

North Korea fired two ballistic missiles toward its eastern sea, according to the Japanese and South Korean militaries. The missile launches occurred just hours after a US nuclear-armed ballistic missile submarine arrived in a South Korean port for the first time in 40 years.

The missiles were launched early on Wednesday morning and appeared to have landed outside Japan’s exclusive economic zone, as reported by the Japanese defense ministry.

The timing of the missile launches coincides with the US submarine’s arrival in South Korea, raising tensions in the region. This event marks North Korea’s latest show of military capability and highlights the ongoing security concerns in the area.
