North Korea Denies Speculation About Weapons Link to Hamas
North Korea has rejected speculation that Hamas used North Korean weapons for its recent attack on Israel, dismissing the claims as “groundless.” Ri Kwang-song, a North Korean commentator on international affairs, accused the United States of employing a “smear campaign” to link the Middle East crisis to North Korea.
These allegations followed a report from Radio Free Asia, which suggested that Hamas fighters used weapons resembling North Korean F-7 rocket-propelled grenade launchers. While suspicions have arisen in the past regarding North Korea’s weapons involvement with Hamas, it remains uncertain whether these weapons were directly supplied by North Korea or obtained through transactions with other countries.
North Korea has previously condemned Israel for its actions against Palestine.
