North Korea Claims to Have Built the World’s Strongest Nuclear Force
North Korea, as reported by its state media, declared that it has successfully developed the world’s most potent nuclear force under the leadership of Kim Jong-un. The secretive regime has been actively enhancing its nuclear and missile programs, according to its state media. This claim coincides with speculation that North Korea may soon attempt to launch a military spy satellite, following two failed attempts earlier this year.
The Rodong Sinmun, North Korea’s main newspaper, stated that the country’s nuclear force has greatly increased and is now at the world’s strongest level. The editorial writer also highlighted the North’s major provocations and events throughout the year, including the test-firing of Hwasong-type intercontinental ballistic missiles and a summit between Kim Jong-un and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The North also designated November 18 as “Missile Industry Day” to celebrate the successful launch of the Hwasong-17 ICBM last year.
