The next Republican presidential debate, scheduled for Thursday at Saint Anselm College in Manchester, has been canceled as Indian-American aspirant Nikki Haley refused to participate unless former President Donald Trump took part. Haley, who finished third in the Iowa caucus, stated that the next debate she participates in will be with Trump or Joe Biden.
The cancellation comes after Trump emerged triumphant in Iowa, solidifying his position as the Republican frontrunner. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who finished second in Iowa, criticized his rivals for refusing to debate and accused Haley of running to be Trump’s vice president. The CNN-moderated debate on January 21 is also in doubt.
