NIA Tracks Down 24 Illegal Bangladeshi Nationals in Bengaluru
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted a search operation that led to the discovery of 24 Bangladeshi nationals staying illegally in Bengaluru. The individuals were subsequently handed over to the local police for further action. During a recent search in the Bellandur area, three of the illegal immigrants – Khaleel Chaparasi, Abdul Khadir, and Mohammad Zaheed – were located by the NIA.
Preliminary investigations revealed that these individuals had been staying illegally in India since 2011, entering with the assistance of a broker who charged them Rs 20,000. Despite their status, they managed to acquire Aadhaar cards, ration cards, and other government identity documents.
An FIR has been lodged by the local police under relevant provisions of the Foreigners Act and Passports Act, with investigations ongoing.
