NIA Conducts Raids in Rajasthan Amid Rekindling of Khalistani Support

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has reportedly conducted raids in 13 districts in Rajasthan where Khalistani supporters are believed to be residing. The raids, which began in the early hours of Wednesday, covered districts including Hanumangarh, Jhunjhunu, Ganganagar, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Sikar, Pali, Jodhpur Rural, Barmer, Kota Rural, Bhilwara, and Ajmer.

The NIA is reportedly acting on information indicating that Khalistani supporters are being reactivated and secretly contacted by individuals in Canada. Bank account transactions of individuals in the raided areas are also under investigation. This follows the recent inclusion of more than 10 districts of Rajasthan in Khalistan’s “map.” Official statements from the NIA are awaited.
