Nara Brahmani, the daughter-in-law of imprisoned Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief N. Chandrababu Naidu has criticized the ruling YSR Congress Party (YSRCP), accusing it of being “incapable of governance.” Brahmani, who is the executive director of Heritage Foods, a family-owned company, typically stays away from politics but has been increasingly vocal since Naidu’s arrest in an alleged Skill Development Corporation scam.
She urged the YSRCP not to “make a joke of bureaucracy, government bodies, multinationals, the youth & democracy.” Brahmani’s statements come as tensions rise ahead of elections in the state, and she, along with her mother-in-law and Telugu Mahila activists, participated in a candle rally in protest.
