Namma Yatri, known for its autorickshaw service, is expanding its operations to include cab services in Chennai. The company aims to provide affordable mobility with minimal cancellations, promising a zero-commission model for cab drivers. Through a partnership with Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC), the cab service will operate on a direct-to-driver payment model, ensuring that drivers receive their payments without any intermediary deductions.
This zero-commission model is expected to enhance driver commitment and improve customer service, addressing the issue of drivers refusing to ply customers due to high commission charges imposed by traditional taxi aggregators.
