Mumbai Hit-and-Run: Main Accused Consumed Excessive Alcohol Before Incident
In a troubling development, Mumbai police sources revealed that Mihir Shah, the main accused in the Worli hit-and-run case, had consumed a substantial amount of alcohol at two different locations on the night of the incident. Shah reportedly drank first at Vice Global Tapas Bar in Juhu and then at another undisclosed place between Malad and Borivali.
The investigation also indicated that Shah forcibly took control of the car keys from his driver, Rajrishi Rajendra Singh Bidawat, to drive near Girgaon Chowpatty after visiting Marine Drive. Both Shah and Bidawat have confessed to their roles in the crime during police interrogation, leading to a detailed scene recreation from CJ House Worli to Sea Link Worli. Shah has been remanded to police custody until July 16, following his arrest in Virar on July 9, while efforts continue to unravel the full circumstances of the tragic loss of a woman and injured her husband.
