MTC Bus Conductor Arrested in Chennai for Minor’s Death

A 53-year-old Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC) bus conductor was arrested by the R.K. Nagar Police in Chennai in connection with the death of a 14-year-old boy. The incident occurred on January 13 when the boy, C. Vishal, fell from the bus near the Vaidyanathan Bridge of Tondiarpet. Vishal later succumbed to his injuries at the Government Stanley Hospital.

Before his death, Vishal alleged that the conductor had pushed him. Following the victim’s father’s complaint, the police changed the case from accidental death to causing death by negligence and subsequently arrested the conductor, R. Anbazhagan, of Kolathur.
