Moscow Acknowledges ISIS Role in Concert Hall Attack
After months of denial, Moscow has finally conceded that the deadly concert hall attack in March was orchestrated by the Islamic State. The FSB revealed that IS-K, a branch active in Afghanistan and Pakistan, coordinated the assault via the internet.
This admission marks a significant shift from Russia’s earlier attempts to blame Ukraine and the West. Despite IS claiming responsibility multiple times, Moscow initially resisted acknowledging their involvement. With over 140 casualties, the attack underscores the global threat posed by terrorist networks like ISIS.
