Minor Girl Blackmailed and Gang Raped in Karnataka, Three Arrested

In a distressing incident in Karnataka’s Mandya district, a minor girl was blackmailed and subjected to gang rape, leading to the arrest of three perpetrators. The incident occurred in Madduru town police station limits, with the arrested individuals identified as Puneeth, Manjunath, and Siddaraju. The police revealed that Puneeth had befriended the victim during last month’s Dussehra celebrations in Mysuru and subsequently established an intimate relationship.

On November 4, he, along with the other two accused, took her to a lodge in Madduru and committed the crime. Post-incident, they sent her a video of the act, blackmailing her and demanding her compliance whenever they wished. The victim confided in her parents, who then filed a complaint with the police. An FIR has been registered under the POCSO Act and the Atrocity Act.
