In Karnataka’s Raichur district, specifically in four villages of Lingsugur taluk, a mild tremor was reported by officials on Tuesday. The tremor, with a magnitude of 2.7 on the Richter Scale, occurred at 2.50 a.m., causing some panic among residents who were celebrating the Vijayadashami festival. The affected villages included Nilogal, Hatti, Veerapura, and Gejjalaghatta.
Authorities indicated that the tremors were localized to a 2.6 km radius around Hatti village and assured that no casualties or property damage were reported. The Karnataka State Disaster Management Authority (KSDMA) also reassured the public that there was no need for undue concern regarding the incident.
