Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) president Mayawati announced the removal of her nephew Akash Anand as her political heir and the party’s National Coordinator, stating that he needs to attain full maturity before assuming such important roles.
Mayawati emphasized that the BSP is not just a party but also a movement for social change, and in the interest of the party and the movement, Anand is being separated from these responsibilities. Mayawati’s decision comes less than 48 hours after the BSP replaced its candidates for Jaunpur and Basti Lok Sabha seats, signaling a significant shift in the party’s leadership strategy.
