The first day of Telangana’s public outreach program, Praja Palana, witnessed an overwhelming response with more than 7.46 lakh applications received across the state. The program, initiated by the government, aims to collect applications for the implementation of six guarantees promised during the election campaign.
Chief Secretary Santi Kumari shared that 2,88,711 applications were received in rural areas, while 4,57,703 applications were received in urban areas, including the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation. The applicants are seeking benefits under guarantees such as Mahalaxmi, Rythu Bharosa, Gruha Jyothi, Indiramma Indlu, Cheyutha, and Yuva Vikasam. The government has deployed officials and set up counters to manage the application process until January 6.
