Manmohan Singh Denounces Modi’s “Hate Speeches” and BJP Policies

Former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh sharply criticizes Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing him of “lowering the dignity of the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) with hate speeches” and indulging in divisive rhetoric during the election campaign. Singh vehemently denies ever singling out a community for special treatment, contrasting Modi’s inflammatory remarks with past standards of public discourse.

He highlights the BJP government’s track record of vilifying Punjab and its farmers, citing the martyred farmers and Modi’s derogatory remarks in Parliament. Singh also criticizes BJP policies such as demonetization, GST, and COVID-19 mismanagement, attributing them to the nation’s economic turmoil and widening inequality. Additionally, he condemns the BJP’s Agniveer Scheme, alleging betrayal of youth aspiring to serve in the Armed Forces and warning of its potential threat to national security.
