A man in north Delhi was robbed of Rs 1 crore at gunpoint by four unidentified assailants on motorcycles. The victim, Suresh, had been given two bags containing the money to deliver to Chandni Chowk by another individual. While traveling in an auto-rickshaw with another person, they were ambushed by the assailants near Metro Pillar No. 147, Veer Banda Bairagi Marg.
The robbers brandished pistols, stole the bags, and fled the scene towards Pratap Nagar metro station. The incident has led to a police investigation, with a case registered under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and Arms Act. This incident follows a similar daylight robbery in Delhi’s Pragati Maidan tunnel just a few months earlier, raising concerns about security in the city.
