Man Commits Suicide in Indore Alleging Police Harassment
A tragic incident unfolded in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, as a man named Mohan Pal took his own life and shared a note on social media, pointing to harassment by a police sub-inspector. The deceased, a resident of Akash Nagar, left a suicide note stating that he had been duped by a marriage broker named Pravesh Sharma from Saharsa, Bihar.
Pal had paid Rs 95,000 to Sharma for arranging a bride, but the broker vanished after receiving the payments in three installments. When Pal approached the Dwarkapuri police station to lodge a complaint against the fraud, he alleged that Sub-Inspector Amod Uike misbehaved with him. Frustrated by the ordeal, Pal decided to end his life.
Following his death, local residents and family members of the deceased staged a protest at the Dwarkapuri police station, demanding action against the accused police sub-inspector.
