Trinamool Congress leader Mahua Moitra has decided to prioritize her campaigning duties in her Krishnanagar constituency over complying with Enforcement Directorate (ED) summons. Despite being summoned twice earlier for questioning in a Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) contravention case, Moitra has opted to focus on her electoral responsibilities.
The decision comes amidst a backdrop of political scrutiny, with Moitra previously expelled from the Lok Sabha for “unethical conduct.” Renominated by her party for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, Moitra remains committed to her campaign despite ongoing legal inquiries and allegations.
