Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde to Showcase State at WEF Davos
Chief Minister Eknath Shinde expressed enthusiasm about the World Economic Forum (WEF) meeting in Davos, considering it a significant opportunity to showcase Maharashtra globally. Shinde emphasized the state’s potential for foreign investments, citing infrastructure, connectivity, and skilled manpower as key factors.
He highlighted the flexibility of Maharashtra’s industry policy and anticipated the signing of MoUs worth over Rs 3.10 lakh-crore during the WEF Davos 2024 meet. Shinde aimed to attract value-adding industries across sectors, contributing to employment generation and overall development. The Chief Minister’s Davos schedule includes meetings with corporate leaders, diplomats, and world leaders, as well as participation in WEF programs and seminars.
The Maharashtra Pavilion is set to host crucial discussions and agreements, reinforcing the state’s branding on the world stage. Shinde’s engagements include meetings with Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani, executives from Amazon Web Services, Dassault Systems, Carlsberg, and more. He is slated to deliver speeches on civil sector challenges, innovation, sustainable development, and participate in seminars on agriculture, women’s participation, and food security.
