The Odisha Police’s special task force (STF) made a significant seizure of wildlife products in the Kalahandi district. During a raid at Sripali Chhaka under M. Rampur police station jurisdiction, the STF confiscated three leopard skins and three deer skins from wildlife criminals. The accused, identified as Khageswar Putel (56) from Kalahandi district, was arrested during the operation.
Putel failed to provide any legitimate documentation supporting his possession of the leopard and deer skins. As a result, he will be presented before the court to face charges related to wildlife trafficking and illegal possession of animal skins.
