Legal Trouble for Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz Over Police Uniform
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has found herself in legal trouble after wearing a police uniform at a passing-out parade. A Session Court has been petitioned against her, alleging that her actions were unlawful as no one is permitted to wear the official state institution outfit. Despite pleas to the police, no action was taken against her.
The court has postponed the case’s hearing until April 29. Maryam Nawaz, Punjab’s first female Chief Minister, attended the parade in Lahore, where she bestowed a guard of honour and presented awards to outstanding achievers.
