Leadership Crisis in BJP and JD(S) Evident in Jagadish Shettar’s Consideration, Says Karnataka Deputy CM

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar highlighted what he sees as a leadership crisis in the BJP and JD(S), pointing to efforts by senior BJP leaders to bring back former Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar. Shivakumar suggested that these attempts to woo Shettar back indicate a weakening of the BJP.

He also noted the irony of H.D. Kumaraswamy, who became Chief Minister to keep the BJP out of power, joining the party instrumental in bringing down his government. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah accused the BJP of spreading rumors about Shettar’s potential return, emphasizing that Shettar has stated he has no intention of rejoining the BJP.
