Krishna District Collector Urges Banks to Support Entrepreneurs and Tenant Farmers

Krishna District Collector P. Rajababu emphasized the importance of bank cooperation in facilitating loans for budding entrepreneurs and tenant farmers. Speaking at a district-level review meeting with bankers in Machilipatnam, Mr. Rajababu stressed the need for banks to expedite loan approvals for tenant farmers.

Highlighting the successful disbursement of loans, he noted that farmers received ₹5,378 crore in loans during the Kharif season and ₹6,653 crore during the Rabi season, surpassing initial targets. Additionally, the MSME sector saw ₹3,536 crore in sanctioned loans during the financial year 2023-24.
