Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s statewide yatra in Kerala, accompanied by his entire cabinet, took a violent turn as a shoe was thrown at the bus during the tour. The incident led to a case being registered under attempt to murder charges against a Kerala Students Union (KSU) activist who threw the shoe. In response, Congress workers faced attacks by CPI(M) party members.
The Opposition, led by V.D. Satheesan, accused Vijayan of inciting violence and supporting the attacks on Congress workers. The political tension escalated as both parties exchanged accusations, raising concerns about the law and order situation during the ongoing yatra.
