Kerala CM Accuses Congress of Inciting Violence During Navakerala Sadas

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has accused the Congress leadership of instigating supporters to resort to violent acts as a response to the significant turnout at the Cabinet’s Statewide public outreach program, Navakerala Sadas. Vijayan claimed that Congress workers, particularly the Kerala Students Union (KSU) and Youth Congress activists, engaged in violent confrontations with the police and destroyed Navakerala Sadas banners.

The Chief Minister accused Congress leaders of planning street violence to coincide with the culmination of Navakerala Sadas, asserting that a majority of Congress workers had distanced themselves from the Opposition Leader’s call to boycott the event. Vijayan invited Congress leaders to join the mainstream for the state’s development, emphasizing that the public outreach program had bipartisan approval.
