Kejriwal Silent on Swati Maliwal Assault, Akhilesh Yadav Focuses on Other Matters
At a joint press conference in Lucknow, AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal refused to comment on the alleged assault of AAP Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal, while Akhilesh Yadav stated that there are “more important things” to discuss. AAP leader Sanjay Singh, also present at the press conference, emphasized that there should be no politics on the issue.
Instead, he targeted the BJP government, highlighting issues such as the assault of a Manipuri woman, the Prajwal Revanna sex scandal, and Maliwal being ‘beaten’ up by police during protests when she was the Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) chief. Singh urged the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to answer for atrocities against women during their rule. He cited instances like the parading of a Kargil veteran’s wife naked in Manipur, the Prajwal Revanna case, and the incidents involving Swati Maliwal.
