Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing the second edition of Kashi Tamil Sangamam in Varanasi, highlighted the emotional and creative bond between Kashi and Tamil Nadu, emphasizing the confluence of cultures. He expressed how the Sangamam serves as a platform for mutual dialogue between the people of the north and south, reinforcing the idea of ‘Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat.’
Mr. Modi greeted guests from Tamil Nadu, underlining the unique connection between Kashi and Tamil Nadu. The event witnessed the release of books on ancient Tamil texts translated into Braille, and the Prime Minister commended the initiatives fostering ties between the two regions, such as the Vidhya Shakti project by IIT Madras.
He noted that Kashi Tamil Sangamam enhances awareness of ancient Indian traditions among the youth, fostering a sense of unity in diversity.
