Karnataka Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao Says He Fully Supports Caste Census Report

Karnataka Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao has openly supported the recently released caste census report. He said the report is important for ensuring fairness and equality in the state. By backing the findings, Rao has joined other Congress leaders who believe that accurate data about different communities will help the government make better decisions.

Speaking to the media, Rao said, “I fully support the caste census report. It gives us a clear picture of our society. We must use this data to create policies that benefit everyone, especially the backward and underrepresented communities.”

The Karnataka government released the caste census report to show the population numbers of different castes and communities in the state. The report has created political debate, as some parties question the timing and purpose behind it. However, Rao believes the report is a step in the right direction.

He explained that the caste data will help the government plan welfare programs more effectively. “If we don’t have proper data, how can we create good policies?” he asked. “The census helps us understand the real situation. We need to support those who have been left behind for decades.”

Rao also criticized those who are opposing the report. He said they are afraid of the truth. “Some people don’t want this data to come out because it will expose inequality in our system,” he said. “But we must face the truth if we want to build a fair and just society.”

Other Congress leaders have also shown support for the caste census. They say the report will guide future policies on education, jobs, and social welfare. The party has promised to use the data to increase support for communities that need more help.

Meanwhile, opposition parties have raised concerns about the report’s accuracy and political impact. Some leaders have accused the Congress government of using the census to divide people for votes. But Rao strongly denied this. He said the Congress party wants unity and equality, not division.

As the debate continues, the caste census is expected to remain a major issue in Karnataka politics in the coming months.
