Karnataka’s Congress government, led by Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, has announced a detailed investigation into the alleged MUDA site allotment scams from 2006 to 2024, with a one-man judicial probe set to uncover irregularities. Shivakumar criticized the BJP for their reluctance to discuss the issue in the legislature, accusing them of attempting to block scrutiny of their past actions.
Amidst opposition demands for a CBI probe into the purported ₹3,000 crore land scam, the government plans to release a list of illegally allotted MUDA sites and expose alleged scams under former BJP Chief Ministers B.S. Yediyurappa and Basavaraj Bommai. Shivakumar challenged the BJP’s planned padayatra, asserting that the government’s findings will reveal the true extent of the corruption.
