Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister Accuses BJP of Dividing Society

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar has accused the BJP of dividing society in response to allegations from the BJP that Hindus were targeted to create a fearful atmosphere in Shivamogga city during the Eid Milad procession. Shivakumar emphasized that the Congress government is striving to bring people together and that the government will punish anyone who violates laws and commits crimes.

He referred to the regional anthem that describes Karnataka as a beautiful garden of all people and highlighted the Congress party’s goal of creating a harmonious society. A BJP delegation had demanded a judicial probe into the violence during the Eid Milad procession in Shivamogga city.
