Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah to Present State Budget in February Amid Election Code of Conduct
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah announced on Monday that due to the forthcoming election code of conduct in March, he plans to present the state budget in the first week of February. Despite facing criticism from the BJP for allegedly damaging the state’s economy, Siddaramaiah emphasized the government’s commitment to guarantee schemes, stating that Rs 2,000 compensation had been provided to farmers during the drought temporarily.
He urged the BJP to secure funds from the Central government instead of criticism. Responding to derogatory remarks from Union Minister Pralhad Joshi and BJP leader Anantkumar Hegde, Siddaramaiah emphasized the importance of humanity in culture and criticized Hegde’s contribution as zero.
