Karnataka Chief Minister Criticizes BJP’s Ram Mandir Politics
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for using the inauguration event of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya as a divisive political tool instead of uniting Hindus. Supporting the Congress party’s decision to refrain from attending the ceremony, Siddaramaiah expressed concern over the reported statement from the Ram Mandir Trust Secretary, suggesting the exclusion of Shaivas and Shaktas.
He argued that turning the installation into a political campaign betrays the original intention of transcending religious and cultural boundaries. Siddaramaiah accused Prime Minister Modi and the Sangh Parivar of attempting to create a Hindu wave for political gain ahead of the Lok Sabha polls. He emphasized the Congress party’s commitment to accepting the court’s decision on the Ram temple issue and condemned the injection of religion into politics.
