Kapil Sibal Re-elected President of Supreme Court Bar Association

Senior advocate Kapil Sibal has been elected as the president of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) for the fourth time, securing a significant victory with 1,066 votes. This marks his return to lead the lawyers’ body after his previous stints in 2001 and the mid to late 1990s. Sibal’s election comes as he replaces the incumbent president, senior advocate Adish C. Aggarwala.

His victory over the runner-up, senior advocate Pradeep Rai, who polled 689 votes, solidifies his position as a prominent figure within the legal community. Additionally, advocate Vikrant Yadav was elected as the SCBA secretary, indicating a new leadership team for the prestigious legal association.
