JNU Student Allegedly Raped in Delhi on Pretext of Marriage

A student from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in Delhi has alleged that she was raped by a man under the pretext of marriage. The complainant, identified as KK, met the accused, AK, through an organization around four years ago, and they developed a friendship.

On April 3 of this year, while at his flat in Wazirabad, AK reportedly assured her that he would marry her and engage in a physical relationship with her. However, he is now refusing to fulfill his promise. In response, the Delhi Police registered a case under Section 376 (rape), and an investigation into the matter has been initiated, according to Deputy Commissioner of Police (North) Sagar Singh Kalsi.
