In the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas, Israeli military forces have reached the coast of Gaza City and encircled the Hamas militant group, according to an Israeli military statement on Sunday. The 36th Division deployed along the coast of Gaza with the aim of striking and destroying specific targets, including key assets and command centers belonging to Hamas. The IDF spokesperson, Daniel Hagari, indicated that the forces have divided the Strip into Gaza-north and Gaza-south while taking control of the shoreline.
Massive attacks are underway in the northern Gaza Strip, including the targeting of Hamas commanders. Gazans were urged to evacuate from the northern Gaza area through a designated civilian corridor to the south, as further Israeli strikes are anticipated. Additionally, the IDF accused Hamas of exploiting medical facilities for terrorist activities and presented audio and visual evidence of Hamas’s underground infrastructure beneath hospitals in the northern enclave. In response, the armed wing of Hamas, the Al-Qassam Brigades, claimed to have trapped Israeli forces in an ambush and destroyed two tanks after launching an attack with various weapons.
