The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have stated that they destroyed a Hamas “advanced detection system” in Gaza, used by the militant group to identify aircraft. The destruction occurred during a series of airstrikes that targeted more than 80 locations in Gaza. The IDF claims these airstrikes severely damaged Hamas’s ability to track the skies and target IDF aircraft.
Among the targets were two bank branches used for funding terrorism, an underground tunnel, operational command centers, weapons storage facilities, and compounds used for training, manufacturing, and storing weapons. This escalation follows Israel’s declaration of war on Hamas in response to a recent attack by the group.
