Iran has executed an individual accused of being an agent for Israel’s Mossad intelligence service, according to the official IRNA news agency. The person was reportedly involved in collecting classified information and providing documents to Mossad, aiming to support propaganda against groups opposed to the Iranian government.
The execution took place in Zahedan jail in the southeastern Sistan-Baluchestan province. The announcement follows a recent attack by Baluch militants on a police station in the province, resulting in the death of 11 security personnel. The Sistan-Baluchestan province, bordering Afghanistan and Pakistan, has been a frequent site of clashes between security forces and Sunni militants.
