The Mylapore police have launched an investigation into a fire incident that occurred outside the entrance of the Kapaleeswarar temple on Tuesday night. Eyewitnesses reported seeing a man pouring fuel and igniting a fire in front of the temple’s main door after it had been closed for the day.
Video footage of the incident captured by passersby was shared on social media, prompting the police to file a case based on the uploaded content. Authorities are now reviewing CCTV footage and questioning hawkers and shopkeepers in the vicinity to identify the individual responsible for causing the fire.
